ALL parents/guardians need to complete this School Board Survey by October 25
Will you help Fort Worth ISD ensure all voices have a chance to help shape the future of our District? As part of ongoing listening efforts, the Board of Managers is seeking community input to inform the adoption of goals and guardrails that will guide FWISD and the superintendent over the coming years. A review of the first round of listening responses found that participation did not fully reflect the racial and ethnic diversity of FWISD’s student population.
The Board of Managers wants to correct this gap, and is making an additional effort to broaden participation so that a wider range of community perspectives is heard. The goal is to ensure the input more fully reflects the diversity of the District.
These decisions will have lasting implications for our schools, students, families, educators, and communities. It is essential that the Board hear from a broad cross-section of the people the District serves. We are asking your PTA to help by including the article below in an upcoming weekly newsletter or other means such as flyers. By sharing this invitation through your school-community networks, you can help us ensure that more people know about the opportunity to participate.
Please share the article as written, including the survey link and submission deadline. The survey is open to FWISD stakeholders, not only parents and guardians.

FWISD NEEDS TO HEAR FROM YOU
FWISD is seeking community input to inform the Board of Managers on developing goals and guardrails that will guide the District in the years ahead. It's important that the feedback is representative of the whole community.
What do you think Fort Worth ISD should prioritize? What principles do you think should shape decisions? What do you believe the District’s leaders should be expected to protect, consider, and remain accountable for as they make decisions affecting our schools and students?
The FWISD Board of Managers wants to hear from you so they can create parameters that reflect the experiences and perspectives of the diverse communities that the District serves. A review of the first round of listening responses found that participation did not fully reflect the racial and ethnic diversity of the District’s student population. The Board of Managers is working to broaden participation so more voices across the community have an opportunity to be heard.
Whether you are a parent or guardian, student, educator, District employee, taxpayer, community organization member, or another FWISD stakeholder, your perspective matters. You do not need to be a parent of a current FWISD student to participate.

FWISD NECESITA ESCUCHAR SU OPINIÓN
FWISD está solicitando los comentarios de la comunidad para informar a la Junta de Administradores en el desarrollo de las metas y salvaguardas que guiarán al Distrito en los próximos años. Es importante que las opiniones representen a toda la comunidad.
¿Qué cree usted que Fort Worth ISD debería priorizar? ¿Qué principios considera que deberían guiar las decisiones? ¿Qué cree que se debería esperar que los líderes del Distrito protejan, consideren y de qué rindan cuentas al tomar decisiones que afectan a nuestras escuelas y estudiantes?
La Junta de Administradores de FWISD quiere conocer su opinión para poder establecer parámetros que reflejen las experiencias y perspectivas de las diversas comunidades a las que sirve el Distrito. Una revisión de la primera ronda de respuestas mostró que la participación no reflejó por completo la diversidad racial y étnica de la población estudiantil del Distrito. La Junta de Administradores está trabajando para ampliar la participación con el fin de que más voces de toda la comunidad tengan la oportunidad de ser escuchadas.
Ya sea que usted sea padre, madre o tutor legal, estudiante, educador, empleado del Distrito, contribuyente, miembro de una organización comunitaria u otra parte interesada de FWISD, su perspectiva es importante. No es necesario ser padre o madre de un estudiante actual de FWISD para participar.
